It was closed when I got there. It's my favorite Guatemalan restaurant. Very good service. Wish they were open past 6 p.m.

The service was prompt and the waitress was polite and smiley.... But I should have known something when I called to ask about reservations and the man who answered the phone laughed at me.... I agree with Dave the chips were like a dog rawhide very thick and crunchy no flavor at all. Salsa if that is what you could call it tasted like Blended tomatoes with salt. Even salsa made in New York City has chunks of tomatoes and onions in it. The jalapeno pepper slices were crisp and very tasty. The pico de gallo was by far the tastiest thing on my plate and was still just a bit salty. As far as the rest of the food I was unable to finish it because it was probably the worst thing I've ever put in my mouth. The hamburger in my "beef"  buritto had a squirrelesque taste to it. My wife had the nachos... not supreme... She said the lettuce had more flavor than the cheese or anything else on the plate including the triangular shaped pieces of Rawhide. I will know better to fully read the reviews and take all of them into consideration before stopping while traveling to eat at a "Mexican (while clearing throat) restaurant". Plenty of parking. Hmmmmm???

Me and the wife got hungry while Paul and the nice people at Quality Tire were fixing our car. As Texans, we seriously debated trying Tex-Mex outside of the Tex-Mex capitol of the world. We weren't sure if it would be good. We're very glad we ate here. My nachos were delicious! The ground beef had such a great flavor! My wife had the cheese enchiladas, also very good! If you ever get hungry while traveling through Berryville, give this place a try!
