Absolutely bang for buck considering the average meal in RiNo will set you back at least 20 dollars. It’s a family run diner that has not been influenced by the recent gentrification in the area. A full-filling meal.
Authenticity presented professionally! Was recently in Denver awaiting a tattoo appointment and walked around the corner right to Casa De Manuel! We were immediately treated like family, the salsa was incredible, every entre option seemed better than the last! Settled on a large stuffed burrito, smothered in green chili sauce, and some barbacoa street tacos, I still have dreams about them! Feel like staying low key? This it the perfect place!!! Family owned and run, they couldn't have been more kind!
For the comment about the owner being their dad, and the "third wife and kids" and what not, it's been more than a few years. I have been going to this restaurant for decades with my family and we've only seen the owner with his family who still works and owns the restaurant.....if you were looking for your dad.... why didn't you look 6 decades ago? curious loyal customer here. Absolute gem however, this restaurant has been in the same location for years and still has that beautiful mexican indigenous spanish feel. Carnitas are a must, their smothered burritos are even better! you have to have old Colorado roots to appreciate this joint.
Thought this place was permanently closed but we stopped in and the food was great and also unbelievably cheap which was an added bonus. The waitress was super kind and our food was ready within 15 mins.
Went here today and it was AWFUL!!! The salsa, and the chili was WATER! The portions were like eating out of a Saucer plate. The waitress was not very friendly, and we waited quite a while to be served. There were five of us and three of us are currently home sick and very nauseated. I would give this zero stars but in order to leave a review you have to choose so one if any. And please be aware the place is a dump.
Grew up on this food . I love it I just wished they're chili was a little hotter
My grandparents have been bringing me here since I was a little kiddo. I get the wet burrito almost every time I visit. It's the same delicious food and wonderful service every time! This place is a gem Dine in: Yes
Wow. I can't believe this place is still going. I worked here back in 1980/81, made sack lunches for the food trucks a lot, and I remember even then, the food was really good. I was just walking through here in Google Maps, was looking to see if Core New Art Space is also still around. Spent quite a bit of time there too back then. Loved the receptions there, a lots of great shows and bands. Hope all is well and I can stop in next time I visit home.
I love this place. The waitresses try their best, and are very kind. Their Green Chili bowls are the most delicious meals I've ever had. I literally would have them cater for me if possible. It's a sweet little gem that not everyone seems to know about. They obviously aren't a knock off place that has multiple chains, so it's sort of gives a different experience. It's nice if you ask me.
This place was so good! Food was delicious and the service was incredible. We came in since Mister Oso had a 2 hour wait and we should have just come here first
