I’ve been a fan of the Rio Grande for many, many years. I used to go to the old location downtown on Blake Street until I retired. I recently went to the new downtown location on Wazee Street and was very impressed. The food was excellent, the service was great, and the ambience was definitely ‎a big cut above the old place. The price for my three taco lunch was very reasonable, and all three tacos were delicious. I’ll be back!
I hadn't been here in awhile. Talk about a GREAT EXPERIENCE!!! Alec, one bartender went above and beyond. His recommendations were on point. The manager, Curtis treated the staff with such respect. I was very impressed. The food was so good, we will definitely be back!!!Food: 5/5
Second chances are required, number one that is law, the margarita are Lord. Portions have been adjusted. The carne Asada bliss. They have a baby changer in the restroom. Staff friendly and take pride in the work and care of the people they are assigned. This is a treasure. The quality in their food and products is the passion here. In rare occasions, portion can be overridden by quality and experience the food can take you on. The green salsa wow. Kid-friendliness: High chair and changing station
This has been one of my go to spots for great margaritas and food for quite sometime now. They have the best salsa hands down! I do miss the old location of this restaurant, however it is less crammed now. The food here has always been consistently good and I can count on it being a great meal. Their margaritas are to die for, and I enjoy the option of getting a mini margarita as well if I’m not feeling too ambitious for a regular one. The ambiance is inviting and the atmosphere is nice. The service has always been great and everyone is pretty friendly and attentive. Food and drinks were both out to our table in a timely manner. I always recommend this place to friends and family, definitely one of my favorites in Denver!
The food was pretty good! The tacos were delicious with tons of meat in them! I love my mango margarita!Food: 5/5
I stopped in here to try a margarita. It wasn't busy but we chose to sit at the bar. The bartender wasn't very friendly and did not smile at all, but margaritas were good.Service: 2/5
I enjoy their margaritas on the rocks, and I appreciate that you can order a "mini margarita" if you don't want a big one. Salsa is always good. I ordered spinach enchiladas, and the plate was so hot when it arrived that the black beans were bubbling and steaming. I like hot food. Atmosphere is pleasant. Solid choice for "Tex-Mex" food.
While the atmosphere and service were good—my food was a major letdown. I tried three out of their six taco flavors: carnitas, mahi, and steak. And more so in the steak and carnitas, the meat was dried out, tasted old, and the salsa was baked on too much time under a heat lamp?. Everyone else in our group seemed to enjoy their food, and the chips & salsa were a favorite so I'll give them that. But my $6 tacos were a miss and not worth it. Feb 2024 Parking: Lots, street and garage parking all around but all require payments.
Everything about my visit was pleasant. My friend and I arrived at just about opening. The staff made us feel comfortable from arrival to departure. Combining the food and service this was a great experience. I will return whenever I get the chance.Food: 5/5
We dined at Rio Grande last night - the food was very average, especially considering the prices. The margaritas were weak - we had to order an extra shot to even taste the tequila. I had three a la carte tacos I don’t recommend the chile relleno and my partner had steak nachos. Our waitress was incredible - she was working way too many tables, but managed to do a great job.
