I come in here 2-3 times a week. Please do not believe all of these very silly poor reviews for this place. The food is solid, the portions are big, the people are great, and the management is solid (the owner is another story, but that’s no different than any other restaurant). The floors aren’t sticky, the place doesn’t smell like feces, they don’t rip you off for a ‘gift card you left on the table.’ Don’t expect any awards on the wall for best of anything, but I love this place and I always will. I recommend the combo 6.

My family loves this place and I really don't know why. Probably the same reason the place is packed every night of the week. Tacky atmosphere that hasn't changed since I was a child and I loved it back then. The blandest food and most generic Mexican menu you can find in Minnesota. You have to cover the food in some sort of cheese or sauce to get any flavor. The meals are filling though, so you won't go away hungry. Also the menu hasn't changed since I was young, I still remember getting the grande burrito about thirty years ago. The servers are always great about getting you food and drinks and we have never had to wait for a table here. I don't want to say too many bad things about La Casita because it does fill a niche and obviously they have been doing well for many years. If you are an adventurous eater and like trying new things, I would avoid La Casita.

Great food. I'm totally hooked on the fajitas supreme. Nothing like fresh chips and salsa delivered to the table immediately upon arrival. Service was fast and courteous. Food was served hot and fresh. Place was clean inside and out to include the bathrooms. Nice parking lot for easy in and out. Can get busy at meal time but is most certainly worth the wait.

La Casita is a friendly and reasonably priced Mexican resturant in Columbia Heights. The free chips and salsa are outstanding if you like sweet salsas and their queso (for a small charge) is incredible! The staff is friendly and engaging and very attentive to our needs (consistently). The food is very good and the selection is the best in town! Ample parking and a full bar sweeten the whole experience. I highly recommend La Casita - Whether you are going for a quick bite or bringing the family along you will be well taken care of!

Grew up going here for their good food and service. The prices are really good. Ashley is a really good server. Would recommend to anyone who likes Mexican food and low prices.
