I travel for a living and have a gym membership in every location. The equipment here isn't the newest and the weight area could use some more space, however the staff seem more inviting (unlike the larger newer one)

I have a membership here. While the equipment is not the newest it works the staff is awesome. The personal training is great pending on who you are assigned to. I have no complaints great place to start your fitness journey.

This use to be a BALLYS FITNESS, they cost a LOT OF MONEY to build and keep up. Bally's could not sign up enough people I suspect because a lot of people signed with them in other towns and were charged the total membership and had their credit slammed by these people. See I got homeless and could not turn off my membership you don't plan to be homeless it just happens to you you are in bed sleeping your wife wakes you up cops say she wants you gone and you have to leave. That was it I was injured could not walk and I was homeless. They slammed enough people with these credit dings where they could not sign people under the Bally name so I guess they said lets try this name? LA fitness. Well now that I hear the business model reminds me of what they did me. They charged me the full membership charge not $99 sure wish they had just tried to ding my credit for a $99 charge rather than a few thousand dollars? TOO GREEDY they know I did not go to the club any more I had no place to live but Bally saw fit to ding my credit for thousands WOW kick a man when he is down PLEASE the rest of the world does.

They dont keep up the equipment at either location here in Baton Rouge. I went to the one in Austin, and it has been open a year and a half and all of their equipment is in better condition than BR's was after 6 months. Staff doesnt discipline any of the slobs and meatheads that workout here. Allow people to personalize the lockers, on and on - poorly managed.

My son is working in Baton Rouge for the Summer and asked for a two month access to the facility, THEY LIED and MISLED him, saying he could pay first and last only and then cancel because an LA Fitness didn't exist where he lives full time. But they are charging $99 cancellation fee anyway for 36 month contract. Very unprofessional and untrustworthy!! I see a class action lawsuit brewing against these crooks!
