Be careful about signing up for personal training at LA Fitness. The staff at this particular location is extremely nice and I loved my trainer. However, if you have to break your contract or cancel your membership you have to pay half of your remaining sessions up front. I signed a year contract but had to move back home because of an illness. My hometown does not have a LA Fitness and therefore had to pay $700 to break my contract. The manager wouldn't do anything about it and I'm very disappointed in this experience.

joined this gym to do spin classes mostly. started out great, instructors played good music. Now instructors HAVE to play this techno-disco, kinda whacky, horrible, "L A Fitness music" exclusively. can't listen to this stuff for an hour. every song sounds like the last. UGH!

The equipment is better than most gyms and the front desk staff is very pleasant!

I have visited this gym multiple times, and about 2 miles away there is a "super budget" gym that I am a member of. While there is a greater variety of workout equipment at LA Fitness, I find that the budget gym is much cleaner, has better ventilation/air conditioning, and has less "awaiting repairs" equipment. If you are coming just for cardio, you are wasting your money as the cardio equipment is on the top level next to ineffective ceiling fans. It always seems a little too humid, and I'm not sure why there are only 3 "hand sanitizer" style dispensers for equipment wiping solution, yet there are maybe 50 cardio machines (elliptical, stairs, treadmills, bikes, etc.). Because it's a hassle to take a paper towel and pump the dispenser maybe 10 or more times to saturate the paper towel, I've rarely seen anyone wipe down their equipment after use. The "budget fitness" place has tons of cleaning stations with large trashcans, literally rolls and rolls of paper towels and multiple spray bottles of cleaning solution. It's so easy to clean up after yourself, and everyone there does.

I've had a membership for about 3 months. Really enjoying it. The area is busy because of the shopping centers and apartments, so parking is sometimes hard. But other than that, it's a great place.
