Great place to stay, within walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Celine at the front desk is the most friendly and welcoming person I have ever met. She offered us cold drinks, a map of the village and directions on how to get to different places we wanted to go. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. The room was very nice and clean and the bathroom was spotless! After we checked out, Celine told us we could leave our car parked there all day while we attended a wedding which was a great help.We will definitely stay there again.

Nice, well kept older motel in La Jolla Village. Great value for the money. Great people working there. Great location right in La Jolla village only a couple of blocks away from Prospect Street and the Ocean at La Jolla Cove. You can leave your car at the motel and walk everywhere. Nice upstairs patios for barbecues and sitting looking at the Village. We'll be back for sure. :-)

I spent two wonderful nights at this charming hotel. The location cannot be beat, and everyone working there is super nice (really). Across the street is La Jolla's premier yoga studio, which was appreciated by me. Everything is within walking distance!
The one area for improvement would be that most of the parking spaces in their lot are too close together. My car was dented with paint loss one night from someone next to me carelessly opening their car door.

I really enjoyed this hotel, it's kind of a retro style back to the days old school California style.  We did not have a  car and it seemed like you could walk anywhere in about 10-15 minutes (or less)...dinner, the village, many beaches and the cove.  The best part is the staff, all are super friendly, and the Selin makes awesome coffee to get you started each day!

I will be staying here anytime I visit La Jolla! The hospitality I received while staying at the La Jolla Village Lodge was the best I have experienced. Seline and the other staff members went above and beyond to make my stay as hassle free as possible and was incredibly kind and genuine. Even my interactions with other guests while getting breakfast were warmhearted. The location is great -walking distance to many shops, restaurants and the beach. It's not the most aesthetically pleasing place but the room was large, appliances seemed new and the room itself was very clean.
