The bus drivers and service is fine. The buses are old and worn, they have 48 seats yet only around 10 seats have decent leg room with good cushions. Maybe 5 seats on every bus have both. The customers on the bus make this service terrible. They have no manners, recline with vengeance and no respect for people sitting behind them, usually making for a terrible commute. The buses arrive 10 minutes before the departure time which means you need to be at the bus stop at least 20 minutes before departing in order to get a decent seat. Which means you can tack on an extra 40 minutes to your commute per day. On a plus side they are very reliable.

I'm being VERY generous with the 2 stars. You got me to where I needed to be fast. I'll give you guys that. But that's when my generosity ends. The driver completely skipped my stop at passiac ave on rt 46. He could at least, called out the stops. I had to take an uber back to the Crowne Plaza. Here is why I REALLY wanted to give you guys a 1 star. On your site, it states that you have a stop at the Willowbrooke Mall going back to Port Authority. LITTLE DID WE KNOW. It was raining hard, we see a bus and it flew completely past us. Google Maps told us where the stop was and YOUR SITE stated that you guys STOP AT WILLOW BROOK. I will not ride with you guys again. Thank goodness yall are with the NJ Transit and we caught the very last bus back to NY and they honored our tickets. But never again. Update your site. Google, update your map.

After I read most of other riders reviews, I decided to write my own. I am using Lakeland for my daily commute from Mount Arlington to NY Downtown 5 days a week for almost 2 years now. Before I was using Martz (from Panther Valley). Lakeland is reliable bus company. It gets you from point A to point B. Sorry riders, those buses don't fly, and often they hit the traffic. Yes, don't look at the timetable to see what time you will arrive to your destination, especially on Friday afternoon. Route 80 is a giant parking lot pretty much all the time. Most drivers, however, trying their best to go around using local routes to get you home earlier. Some of those drivers aren't too nice, but hey, who cares? I am not there to build network bridges with those drivers, I am in the bus to get to work and back home. Some drivers however are very nice. Buses aren't too old. They're just cheaply built suburban buses with cheap quality seats. You want a nice coach? Try Martz. Seats are much better, but be ready pay much more, and there are only 2-3 runs serve NJ (just one stop at exit 19 of Rt 80). People on the bus aren't rude. They normally don't recline their seats all the way back, and very often ask people behind if it's okay to recline. Finally, I read someone was complaining about climbing the stairs to gates 206/207. Yeah, there is no elevator, but there are escalators to both gates. Escalators are on all the time, so what was the nature of complaint? Bottom line: folks, for about $10 per ride through 36 NJ/NY bus zones you can't get a better deal. Not the limo service for sure, but this isn't wedding party, it's your daily commute to work. So be it.

Currently on a bus that keeps losing power on the highway. They pull over and are reseting the battery and continuing. It is unsafe and the 4th time it has happened to me on a commute in 6 months. Their buses are old and unreliable. They have a monopoly on the area so they can get away with inferior service.
