Lee County's largest waterfront park. Lots of walking and bikiing trails great place for a family or company picnic! Railroad themed playground and home to the Railroad Museum of South Florida and the Lakes Park and Gulf Railroad with a daily train ride schedule on its 1 1/2 mile miniature train ride! Also bike and canoe and kayak rentals are available! Annual schedule of events available on Lee County Parks and Recreation website!

Very small but well done railroad museum. My son loved the 15 min train ride. Very festive as they do the holidays nicely. The playground is large and the prices were reasonable. Would recommend to others.

Beautiful park with lots of lakes and wildlife. There are some rides for kids, a small museum, and refreshment stand. You can also rent canoes and paddle boats. Pets not allowed. Areas to grill with covered picnic tables.

This park has it all...from A through Z. Do you want to see alligators? They are in the lakes. How about a train ride? For $5.00 dollars you get a tour on a train 1/8 the the size and you get a miniature village tour as well. How about cycling? Forgot your bike? No worries! You can rent family and single bikes. You can also rent paddle boats and kayaks. There's an ice cream shop, gift shop, several pavilions, three main giant playgrounds for kiddos or the young at heart. Fishing and an area to clean the fish and grill/smoke them. There is also gazebos and gardens. Best for last...there are two water playgrounds for quenching the heat. Enjoy this place! Important note: there is a $1. Dollar an hour parking fee.

Needed a place to take visiting family for some active fun. This was a great afternoon and easy introduction to Florida flora and fauna. There are alligators in the lake... no swimming. However there is a splash pad for little ones. Many playgrounds for kids, bike and walking trails for families and active types. There are bike, boat, kayak, and canoe rentals for reasonable prices. The train is totally worth the price of admission ($5 to park one car and $5 per person over 5 years old to ride the train.) the train takes you through crafted scenery of local history and businesses as well as charming collections of treasures. Snack bar has things to cool down or you can bring your own in with you. Saw anhinga, blue heron, turtles, alligators and ducks. There is so much more to see... we will definitely have to come back!
