It's unfortunate to leave a negative review, however I too had a similar issue with the "diagnostic fee". I wouldn't mind as much if the problem I was having was actually diagnosed. It wasn't, but I was informed of a *separate* issue with the vehicle (yet 15k miles of somewhat aggressive driving later, the part has still been functioning the same as the day I bought the car) Don't charge a fee if you can't diagnose the problem, and while I'm not a mechanic, chances are the allegedly problematic part was fine if nothing has changed from that much driving and abuse.

Hate to leave a negative review, but both times I've been here, I felt swindled. If you call and ask for a price estimate, they will only give you a fraction of the cost, not taking into account the costs of materials and additional inspections that add up on the bill. They won't voluntarily explain to you what they will do to your car and how much it will cost. Paid an extra $114 on my bill for "diagnostics," which was a word they didn't use prior. The guy apologized if I didn't understand what that entailed, but if you know you're going to charge $100 for something, the client needs to know this beforehand! And of course nothing turned up and all was well, so I basically paid $200+ for an oil change and an airbag check. Won't be coming back.

Competitive rates on service. A bit tricky to as it is off the beaten path a bit, so be on the lookout as you make your way down deerfield road... the turn comes up quick and if you are paying attention you'll fly right by it. You'll find a massive facility once you figure out where they are exactly. I was very pleased with the service I got here.

Terrible. Had my car for more than a week to finally get a call to say they're going to take my money and then tell me to spend more money on possibly 2 issues that may resolve the issue... Wow... Terrible. Never again

They fix my vehicles right the first time when others in Deerfield and Northbrook screw me big time have to take it to Lamb's be rectified.
