So... I had my motor crack in my jeep. He replaced it. 20k miles on the new motor it blew compression in cylinders 2 and 3. Replaced it again under warranty. Then would not honor the warranty or continue with the old warranty for the next one. At 10k miles on the second engine it will no longer run. Upon 3rd party tear down. The following was found:
Spring keepers for cylinders 2 and 3 from the first engine in the oil pan because engine 2 were still present. The vibration dampener was cracked severely and siliconed and slapped back on the second engine. Work orders show no recommended services documentation stating that it was needed. Timing guides were broken and cracks in the timing cover. Both were transferred from the first motor. Motor 2 was a rebuild and noticeably poor workmanship due to excessive lateral bearing play on the connecting rods. Distributor cam sensor was cracked and no mention of that on the work order. But the apoxied cooling shroud was and replaced spark plugs and other things. 

So at the end of the day. I'm out about 3,200.00 and 2 bad motors from a shop that won't honor basic warranties from manufacturer who would pay for his time because of their bad motors. 

Was told that the engine ran hot on break-in under his care and that it wouldn't be a problem, and then used the same reason to deny the warranty when he told me why there was none. 

Go at your own risk. I've been 5 years of saving to get this done a 3rd time that a shop graciously worked with me to diagnose poor workmanship negligence. 

Some may like him. But I can't trust someone who doesn't stand behind their work.

Nicest guys ever. Looked at my car right on the spot, when all the other garages wanted me to wait till tomorrow. 1 hour later I was driving away with a brand-new muffler. $200 Labor for a couple hours work is a bit much though… :-(

I would highly recommend Lambton's Auto Services to everyone. Very fair pricing and super fast service. Paul Shanle is very honest. We will not take our vehicles anywhere else. I trust this place so much that I even had my mom's car fixed there! Paul always takes us right away, he makes us feel like we are important and that makes a huge difference. Paul takes the time to tell you exactly what is wrong, and if he thinks you do not need something fixed until later, he will tell you that also instead of just grabbing your money.

Paul at Lambton's Auto is my car guy! I was referred to him by a friend and so thankful that he did.  He gave me such personal service - was able to come out of his way to get my car into his shop, he kept in contact with me about the repair and gave me a good price.  I trust him. I would recommend Lambton's to my own mom! :) Thanks, Paul!
