We needed a stopping point on our way to Hartford and this was perfect. We booked through Expedia based on the reviews and it lived up to what was written. The room and bathroom were both very clean, the bathroom was updated, the beds were very comfortable and most importantly it was quiet! 

I can't remember the last time I stayed at a motel and my biggest concern (next to cleanliness) is the noise level. This place was great. Could have heard a pin drop. The owner was also very friendly! We got in late, but he was right there waiting for us.

It's not the fanciest place on the block, but when you need a simple room for a GREAT price you can't beat Lantern House. I'd call it old school but super clean! It had free wifi and free coffee in the morning. If I'm traveling through the area again, I will be booking here.

Super cozy and a great price! Plenty of hot water; television, microwave, and refrigerator. It's located in the middle of beautiful Great Barrington with easy access to food, shopping, and really whatever you might need within walking distance. Downtown is only about 1.5 miles away. 4 stars because the ice smells and tastes like Indian spices. Get your ice elsewhere, but if you're in the area, this is a good place to stay. Also, no fan in the bathroom so if you're with company bring the Lysol.

Great place to stay - very clean and spacious rooms, quiet place, great location, woderful owner/manager, very fair pricing, and it's been like this for at least a decade.

I had the pleasure of staying in this motel last week and was more than happy. The place was spotless and the shower was great. The owners were always helpful and take pride in their business. I booked directly by phone not through an internet service and saved a bundle by doing so. If you need a comfy and reasonable priced place that's the room you want.
