This is a wonderful place to visit/camp. I would highly recommend. The Ranger staff are great. Personality Plus. The hosts Rocky and Donna Lane work constantly to make sure the campsites are clean. The bathroom and showers shine. They are scrubbed everyday and always smell great. They have personality plus. They strive to make sure visitors to the park have a wonderful visit to the Park.

I stayed here 2 nights on the way to the coast. I just picked it out because it was convenient . It was exactly what i wanted. The campsites were spaced out enough to be considered private. I stayed in march so it was not crowded at all. My wife and I walked to the boardwalks/artesian well area. It was close to 2 miles one way but it was a peaceful trip that i really enjoyed. The bathhouse was older but served its purpose. 4 star only because its water/electric only but it did have a dump station.

This is an awesome park, it was built by the CCC so there's plenty of history here. There's a lake and small ponds, a boardwalk over a swampy area, plenty of trails and camping.

I really like the place. The cost is not to much. Has water, electricity at every campsite (barring the primitive area).
