Carrillo State Park has a lovely beach with a few coves separated from each other with rocks. Unfortunately, part of the road to one of the parking lots was under water when we were there, which limited us to the other of the two parking lots (I might've been willing to take the chance in my own car, but not in a rental). Other than that, we had a very nice visit and may well return the next time we're in the area.

Awesome for kids, and the distance from the city keeps the idiot factor low. Nice tide pools, neat caves, and manageable waves. Also, the electric car charging is fantastic.

Love the tide pools and the beautiful beaches around every outcrop of rocks. Make sure you walk down beach access trail and take in the view from the quaint lighthouse there.

Famous for it's beauty, surf, campground, trails and more, this beach is a must see. A little Rocky but always great weather. Remember to pick up all of your trash (and any trash around you)!

Great park with a beach for surfing. Excellent scenery, a small camp store, regularly cleaned bathrooms. Lack of quite time enforcement is one area they can work on.
