We stayed here one night and recommend to avoid this place. The night was $45. This was the worst experience we had in the last two months traveling and not worth the money. Hot water in showers didn't work for me. Toilets and showers were dirty. One toilet was clocked up. Dishes: there are signs to not use the sinks but water hoses. This results in these places to be muddy and full of gray water which we find bad for the environment. We got woken up by the garbage trucks at 8am. We could not find the camp host and talked to a maintenance guy who said he checks the toilets and showers. I didn't get the impression our concerns will be changing anything.

Nice small camp ground for tenters or RVs. Right off PCH. Plenty of space so you don't feel like on top of other campers,decent restrooms and hot shower stalls (bring some dollars for shower tokens). A short walk to some not too difficult scenic hikes or a short walk or drive across road to the beach( free parking for sycamore canyon campers) also fire roads for biking.

Camping spots are really close and the lots are not well maintained. Mostly dirt. Close access to the beach but you have to either cross PCH or climb down a not very safe ridge.

We love Sycamore Canyon because of the great bike trail. We have a 10 and 7 year old and the trail is fun especially in the rain. Its pretty flat with some occasional dips. It's a much calmer campsite than Leo Carillo. The beach access is easier at LC but managable at SC.

The hiking trails are beautiful! The campground is only a 5 minute walk from the ocean.
