Came here to hike and was very disappointed in the trails. The Boone Trace trail is incredibly short and not very scenic, and the only other trail I could find was a paved walking & biking trail, which was even less scenic. There's plenty of other stuff to do, including a mill & millstone library, a replica village, some really high-energy geese, and a ton of camping accommodations like basketball courts, a pool, picnic shelters, and mini golf. Just not the best place for hiking

Not at all what I expected. Expected peace and quiet -- did NOT get that -- between dogs off leash to NOISY golf carts to the constant passing of cars -- and NO we weren't even close to the entrance. We faced a "camper" that was grand central and obvious here for more than 2 weeks. Great location -- may be a great place if you have a carload of children and noise reduction headphones.
