Levi Jackson Wilderness Road State Park combines the beauty of a rolling, wooded hills park with a historic site that honors the pioneers who braved the perils of the wilderness to settle Kentucky.
With hiking and biking trails, open areas for picnics and recreation, and a beautiful landscape, Levi Jackson is a must visit.
The park offers visitors a 136-site campground, nestled in open woodland. Utility hookups, a grocery store, a dump station, and three central service buildings containing an activities room, showers, rest rooms, and laundry facilities assure camping convenience. Open year-round. Recreation activities planned Memorial Day - October 31st. Call (606) 330-2130 for camping information, pricing, and reservations.
The Mountain Life Museum which brings visitors into a pioneer settlement, is open Friday and Saturday Memorial Day - October 31st. Buildings in the settlement were moved from other sites or built as replicas on the park. All buildings are filled with pioneer relics including tools, products of agriculture and household implements. The museum consists of 7 buildings. Admission for the Mountain Life Museum:

Memorial Day - Labor Day, cool off at the Levi Jackson Pool which features two waterslides and a kiddie area. The pool is open 12pm - 7pm every day, closed only on Mondays (closed Mon-Thur after August 14th). Private parties are available for booking during the summer. Contact the Park Headquarters for availability and booking.

April 1st - October 31st our mini golf course is open. We offer an 18 hole golf course nestled at the front of our campground, open to the public.

Don't forget to check out our famous McHargue's Mill, a fully functioning restored grist mill where corn meal is ground and available for purchase. The Mill is open Thursday - Sunday, 10:00am - 5:00pm and visitors can go inside and see the Mill in action free of charge. Corn meal ground on site is available in 2 pound bags for purchase for $3.00 each. (Memorial Day - October 31st)
