Not a bad facility, they keep it clean. My issue is that people are parking on snowbanks because all of the parking is full and the sales staff is still signing up new members. That coupled with personal trainers holding several machines at a time for clients makes it hard to work out without wasting a lot of time. Overall, I'd switch very fast if another decent gym opened up in town.

The reason why I give this a 1 out of 5 is because of the weekend open gym hours. I know that many other b-ball players will disagree as well as I do because constantly one half is having birthday parties and the other half is having some soft of class. They need to at least just make a extra court for those who came to the basketball court to play basketball not watch little kids eat pizza and jump around in bouncy house. Please do something about this lifetime if been going here a while and now your just disappointing me. :(

I've been coming to the Life Time Fitness Plymouth MN location for about a year now whenever I'm up here for work. I've belonged to a number of gyms in my lifetime, and though I am on a pay-as-I-go basis with this location, it is possibly the nicest and most well-kept gym I've frequented. First off, the facility is enormous - huge swimming pools, salon, quick service restaurant, treadmills and ellipticals as far as the eye can see (and they're all in service and very well maintained!) - and the staff does a great job of keeping the place meticulously clean. The men's locker room is pristine and loaded with amenities. The customer service is consistently good, but one person in particular stands out - Trevin W., one of the account managers, is particularly kind, outgoing, and always willing to go the extra mile. All in all, the Plymouth Life Time Fitness is a club I would highly recommend.

Gosh, after reading the negative reviews, we almost didn't check this health club out. Glad we did though. Signed up two weeks ago and the family has been happy with the decision. Machines are new and updated as of July 2013. Parking can be trying during peak times, especially now that it's January, but once inside there always seem to be plenty of open machines. Showers are clean, staff is cordial, and there are tons of things to do. We got a good signup deal, and a few extras were tossed in. With the kickbacks from company health insurance, rates are reasonable. Only negative so far was the initial corporate policy of trying to oversell add on features like personal trainers and such, but it wasn't that bad, and in the end the salesperson was great: we didn't feel pressured to add on anything we didn't want. So far, so good. Very satisfied. January 2018 Update Just thought I'd add an update to this. Our family has been going here 3-4 times per week for the past three years now and still are really satisfied with everything. Staff has always been pleasant and helpful, machines are maintained regularly, and generally speaking, we find the facilities very accessible. They seem to be regularly updating machines and cycling out older items. With that said, it is a busy place, for sure, and if you absolutely must use a specific machine or space at a specific time, you'll likely be disappointed. Our family uses the exercise area (weights, strength machines, aerobic machines), gym, and pool, and sure there are times when the pool can't be used because of HS swim team or the gym has some sort of party going on. But the schedules are posted online and so you can always check and plan ahead if you have something specific in mind. With a bit of flexibility, we've found little difficulty in using anything we want. Even in peak times, it's pretty easy for me to go through a workout getting access to every machine I want. Sure, I'll end up hopping over and coming back to a few machines because others are using them, but with rare exception I can get through my whole workout without having to stand around waiting for something. I can say that I've almost never had any problems getting on a treadmill, elliptical, or bike. The only exception to all this is .... January. The place is crazy busy then—especially the first two weeks—and we avoid that 4-8pm timeframe during that time if at all possible.

Worst gym I've ever been a member at. They keep reserving more and more equipment and space taking away from the base members who support the gym year around. They just took out approximately 20 fitness machines to add space to their group training. They added these stupid jumping boxes. Very few use those boxes and most who do are very young. Very member unfriendly gym with stop signs and reserved signed on way to much equipment. We've had 2 big membership price increases and we end up with less space and equipment. They went from 52 tread mills down to 46, then when the stop signs go into effect, that leaves 34 tread mills for the lowly base members who only pay $75 per month. If you want to use a bench press or squat rack, half will be missing bars for they are used in their group fitness. Total joke and very member unfriendly. I'll be dropping my membership
