The purpose of the Lincoln County Medical Center Auxiliary is to render service to the Lincoln County Medical Center and its patients.
Our purpose is to assist Lincoln County Medical Center in promoting the health and welfare of the community in accordance with objectives established by the institution.
The Lincoln County Medical Center Auxiliary was organized in June, 1965 with 12 members and $35.00. What began in a double telephone booth dispensing coffee for a nickel a cup has grown into a membership of 82 members, a Gift Shop inside the hospital and a Thrift Shop which accepts donations to sell at a reasonable price to serve the community. Auxilians assist in the Medical Records Department, nurses’ station, information desk and any area requested by the hospital staff. Money raised from the Gift Shop and Thrift Shop sales have purchased equipment, beds, and furniture for the hospital and contributed to the building and furnished of the physical therapy building and the new physicians’ office building.
The mission of the Auxiliary is to assist hospital auxiliaries in their role of service to their hospitals and communities. Further, its mission is to support New Mexico Hospital and Health Systems Association in the accomplishment of its mission. This will be done through education, communication, resource networking and participation on the NMHA Board of Directors.
