2 of us ordered the cube steak with fried onions. The taste of the meat we had was very good, but the quality of the meat poor. Lots of gristle and hard bits (maybe bone?) In the meat. The service was great, the cakes were superior. I highly recommend the corn bread muffins, they are cooked in traditional southern fashion, in cast iron which gives them a nice crust. The flavor and texture of the corn bread was also superior, best I've ever had in a restaurant. I only gave them a 3 star rating because of the meat quality, only 1 type of seafood to eat, scrod, and the fact that the butter and sour cream condiments came in small, peel open containers. I expect a good restaurant to serve butter and condiments in a manner that doesn't require opening multiple "packets" sealed in foil and paper, as these can be time consuming and difficult to open. I will say it's worth a visit for the fresh made food, and the exquisite baked goods and desserts.

I visited Litton’s on my first trip to Knoxville, and it was awesome. Great, welcoming atmosphere and comfort food that’s pretty much unbeatable. Their pies are incredible, especially the Key Lime Pie — I’ve never had anything that comes as close to how good that pie is at Litton’s.

I ordered the burger platter. The burger was absolutely delicious and it was cooked perfectly to my liking. They are not stingy with their burger toppings either and the tomato was wonderful. The service was great. Having an hour for lunch was perfect but did cut close.

The food is very average, most of the food served is frozen food fried up. Not saying it was bad just that the prices are not reflective of the quality.(in my opinion) As an appetizer I got the onion rings, and they were really good! And the "half" was more than enough for two. For my meal and I will state that I got a veggie burger so maybe the meat burgers are better but the veggie burger was a frozen patty they fried which tasted like a Morningstar burger (which I do like!) and the generic toppings of onions, tomato, and a leaf of lettuce but it was 10.95 and came with French fries that were dry, burnt and also frozen lol. I swear I don't want this review to sound bad , I'm just being honest. I liked the burger it was definitely good, but I couldn't stomach the fries. Although the service was definitely good! Our waitress was very helpful and informative.

Not sure why this place is so popular. Cookout has more flavorful burgers and chicken tenders. Burgers were dry and tenders slimy and fatty. Onion rings had little flavor. Prices are extremely high for that type of food. We've tried it several times hoping we will enjoy it more than the last and this time we have decided it's not the place for us. Service was just average. Rebecca Fowler
