Perkins is almost always great. They are a very dependable and steady restaurant. Whether I get the Fab Five, Magnificent Seven or Tremendous Twelve, my meal is always good. Consistently good. I have high expectations when I go to Perkins and they always meet my expectations.

Johnson City location has went downhill. High priced and poor service. I waited close to an hour for a grilled cheese and a tomato soup.

I have only been here with a group of friends. I have to say one is always greeted enthusiastically.  Good size menu. So many choices available and breakfast served all day. I hear they now have music on weekends. The food is good certainly not gourmet but there is always plenty. Full service restaurants hard to come by in this part of Jefferson County.  I feel this Perkins is a step up from the average Perkins.  If you are in the mood for a muffin their fresh baked goods are great. I love the pumpkin muffins always available in the fall. Our waitress last time there was just amazing. She was warm, friendly and provided excellent service.  Restaurant located near an exit on I40 but so wish closer to town itself.

We were greated at door like we were old friends or a long lost family member home for the holidays. The family friendly fare was both delicious and well proportioned for our group of weary travelers. The service was fast friendly and had a way of making you feel at home. A good meal in a relaxing environment set the tone for the rest of our trip. We sincerely wish we had a Perkins close to where we live.

I ordered a patty melt. They made it without cheese. Isn't that the purpose of a melt? I get a new one and it was so dry I tore off most of the bread. So they give me a slice of pie. How can you go wrong with pie? The only thing good on it was the crust. Sorry I won't be back. Positive note, the server was great and she was very helpful.
