My brother came here as a prisoner,  unfortunately,  and ws treated so poorly by the nurses.  At the end he was changing his own dressings after having emergency thyroid surgery.  I get it,  he's a prisoner,  but he's still a person.  They saw a brown skinned man with shackles and treated him that way.   As Nurse for over 21 years myself I find this disgusting, unprofessional,  and inhumane.   All patients shud be treated with the utmost respect and dignity.   You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

We moved to Lompoc five years ago, a little worried about the small community hospital...boy were we wrong.  My husband has had a couple ER visits, I had the dreaded colonoscopy, my husband had out patient surgery on his knee yesterday.  We have nothing but high praise for the staff up to and including the volunteer staff.  The nurses who tended to my husband were very kind and took the time to answer all questions.  I wish I had written down the names, I was exhausted when we left, it had been a long day.

Avoid the Lompoc hospital by any means.  The have some shady, highly unethical business practices going on.  Beware if you go to the ER, even if the hospital itself is within your insurance network, their doctors they employ are not. Just go to the Santa Maria or Santa Barbara hospital if you can.  They can treat  much of anything there anyway, most of the people I know that. Go there end up getting sent to Santa Barbara anyway.

This place is horrible. They have no compassion for patients. I was in horrible pain for 3 days, no sleep, balling my eyes out, wasnt able to go to a regular doctor because it was a Sunday and the doctor flat out told me I dont know what to do for you. He was so rude and careless. No wonder I always hear such bad things about this place. I always have a bad experience. This is why I will go to Santa Ynez first, every time!!! DO NOT COME HERE!!!

Highly underrated hospital I have been treated there a few times and tested there several, Very cleans great staff. I recommend this hospital.
