We love Longhorns. We normally go to the restaurant in Brandon, FL where we live but today we were in Lake City, FL. We all got together to celebrate Father's Day with my father-in-law. We have visited this location a few times and never had a problem. Today, however, we did not enjoy it at all. Yes, there were 12 of us but this is probably the least amount as any other time at this location. It began with the bread. We didn't get bread plates. The bread was obviously from last night. I knew the second that our server put it down that the texture was not fresh. I didn't eat any but everyone who did said that it was cold and hard. The children in our party never even got any brought to them. By the time I realized this and found our server, the children's food was brought out. My husband's ribeye was more like an over cooked sirloin. His baked potato was also leftover from last night. The same with our ribs. Most definitely brushed with sauce and reheated. My niece's asparagus looked like a bowl of soggy grease. She was not happy with it at all. Three in our party didn't get their food until most of the table was almost finished. We are pretty sure that these were the only fresh plates....with the exception of the children's fries. We are very disappointed in the food for the first time ever at Longhorn Steak House. I know we will think twice before going back to this location.(

A little on the costly side but well worth it. Had the strawberry chicken salad with french onion soup. Holy cow! Never had salad taste so good. Down side, took forever to put in our order let alone our drinks with almost an empty restaurant. Service seemed quicker during busier time frames.

Terrible management. The waitress was great, but even she should've advocated for us to the sorry manager, since he was not at all on top of his job. We had a reservation for a wedding party (they KNEW it was a wedding party so a very special once in a lifetime event we CHOSE to have at Longhorn) and we were there on time. We waited around 10-20 minutes for our table. Ok we were not that bothered by it but wondered why when we had a reservation. THEN we had to wait an HOUR for our food, which one side of the table was served almost a whole ten minutes before the other side. Some of our food was lukewarm (my mashed potatoes were cold and my spinach was soggy-not wilted). My family is not the complaining type so they didn't say anything. I did mention the cold potatoes to the waitress, so she told the manager and he (Anthony) came over and quietly apologized to me, stating he knew we had waited for our food 'for a while' and that the bill would reflect his apology. People, he took $2 off my bill and that's it. $2! He NEVER addressed the party, never addressed the long wait. Walked past our table many times as we were waiting but never said a word, but admitted to me quietly that he was aware. My family doesn't get together like this...wait, we never do. So this was so very special to us. We didn't want to ruin the moment by airing our gripes, but this was very disappointing to say the least. Some of us had to drive back out of town with kids (me) and had not planned on the long wait time. I left there hungry but did not want any more of their food because they didn't apologize to my sweet and humble family for the long wait. Anthony...I am not sure how you got the job as a manager, but you need a lot more training. That was horrible customer service. So disappointing and we paid so much. I was floored at the manager really. He could have turned this around, but chose not to for whatever reason.

We called ahead for a party of 20 at 6:30 p.m.We arrived on time and our table was not ready so we waited about 15 minutes. Got to the table waited about another 20 minutes just to get to drink order. So after a half hour waiting we got the drinks. It was another 20 minutes before our orders were taken. We waited about an hour to get our food. Now it was a busy Friday night so we take that into consideration but come on It was a long wait to get our food. And when I got mine my baked potato was cold and dry with not near enough sour cream and butter. And I ordered it loaded so I figured it would have everything I needed. My steak was not nice and juicy not close.I could do better at home. Oh and I wanted Italian dressing on my side salad. Well the manager discontinued that so I ordered French. Now guess what the manager discontinued that so I went with the ranch dressing. They had that. Now this was a special event for my soon-to-be-married son. We were all let down. I don't ever plan on returning to this not-so-great Steakhouse.

Service was great. The waitress was phenomenal and extremely helpful. There were some mistakes with our order and she stepped up and apologized and helped to make everything right. Food was cooked to perfection. Wife and I had an awesome time.
