I have always had good food and good service while at this restaurant!! We eat breakfast here often. It is nice that they have a bar and you can have an adult beverage for breakfast. I only gave four stars because I feel that the building and inside of the restaurant could use some attention. The walls, fixtures, building, etc. appear dated and worn and take away from the appeal of the restaurant. The seats, tables and wallpaper are worn. The collection of kids colored drawings and other wall decor have been up for way too long. For me personally, the outside appearance and the details I mentioned above would keep me from going to a restaurant like this because I worry that the neglect of the exterior and interior could also mean there is neglect in the kitchen and food prep/storage. I only ate at this restaurant because my husband insisted that we try it. I was pleasantly surprised that the food was great. Again, this is a critique that is meant to be informative or eye opening, not hurtful.

The food seemed reasonably priced to me, it was the drinks that were a bit high at five dollars a pop for tea and soda. We enjoyed our meals and even got some yummy homemade dessert to take back to the hotel room. As a cheesecake devotee, I can say that there's was very good. The atmosphere was basic family restaurant, nothing too fancy. The staff was friendly and efficient. This establishment does not have air conditioning so, it was a bit warmer then I would have liked. They have a huge covered outside deck but, I guess it is only available for parties.

Although the building is dated, staff were extremely attentive and very polite. Our meals were filling and they offer a 15% discount if you have your tickets from Longwood Gardens!! Will be back next time we are in the area for sure.
