Louis Armstrong Airport is always clean and well maintained. There are several lobbies throughout the airport if you arrive early for your flight . I've been there many times when they have a great jazz band playing in the lobby. Gives you that warm inviting " welcome to New Orleans feeling". The main lobby by the Delta terminal has a great lounging area that on a sunny day is warm and inviting as well. I can't tell you how many times I have caught a quick power nap before my flight. There are plenty of places to eat or have a beer while you are waiting for your flight.

Nice clean smaller and older airport (but a new one being built) it is very easy to maneuver for drop off/ pick up or short / long term parking.  Inside is also very easy to maneuver, easily finding where you need to go. There are minimal  retail options and a restaurant before security. But once having gone through security there are numerous retail and food options. I always find the best fares out of MSY heading north...

Easily the worst airport I have ever been to. The lack of restaurants in the "food court" is baffling. One restaurant was so busy it took the waitress nearly fifteen minutes to give us menus. The other three lady behind the counter was hostile and mumbling to herself. After leaving both and settling for a hot dog we were informed it was cash only. After going to the ATM and coming back it was another ten minute wait to get sub par dog. There's hardly any shops let alone selection. I hope the new terminal opens soon and isn't similar to this abyss. If Katrina didn't break your spirits this place will. I'm so close to booking another flight just to leave here quicker.

Pretty nice airport overall. Fairly small though, but security moves quickly and TSA staff have been polite and helpful. Not many food options and very little healthy choices one your past the gate. Have a great nursing mother room (we have two young kids so this was very much appreciated). Though not part of the airport, there's a decent number of long term parking companies nearby.

Flight staff was helpful but getting a meal in this airport was almost impossible. Once we got through security the first restaurant we went to we sat at for 30 minutes before someone even got our drink order and seemed annoyed we were there. After waiting another 15 minutes she was nowhere to be found so we went to the second restaurant where the lady working was so rude to the man in front of us, and half of the items on the menu weren't even available so we left. We finally went to Lucky Dog to just get a hotdog. We got our food and all the way through the line only for them to say that it was cash only. They could consider a sign stating as such. Overall bad layout and poor options food wise.
