One evening about a month ago I got a late night knock at my door. It was an officer letting me know that a light was on in my car, and he had noticed while driving through the area. He saved me from a dead battery. I was also pulled over for a broken headlight, the officer was extremely friendly, and the SRO is great as well. Have only had professional, positive interactions. Great department.

This police department is obnoxiously attentive to me, they have no tact. I am stalked - like I am on their radar to be easy target. I do not feel safe and believe they take any personal information on my vehicle, what and where I am way too far. As a divorced, single woman I hate this department and town they serve. So wary of these Officers and they definitely stalk!. They lie, believe only one side.

LETTER of COMMENDATION While we read or hear every day about police brutality and the difficult challenges faced by the nation's finest, I want to share a small positive experience from this past week that, in my opinion, embodies all the good that our local police department has to offer. Returning home from work on a frigid day, my car was unable to navigate a turn into our neighborhood, and got stuck with the rear end partially impeding traffic on Cherry Road. Rather than wait hours for towing service, I decided to make the short walk to my home. No sooner had I arrived, a police officer pulled up and offered to help. Within 10 minutes, and with assistance from a passing motorist, we were able to free the car. I asked Officer Barrett Odenbach how busy the team had been that day. He simply said: "We've been doing a lot of this type of work today...helping keep the residents of this great city safe...just doing our job". He said it with such kindness and humility. This reminded me of the last time we encountered the Louisville police...when they came to our door with the same caring approach in September 2013, encouraging evacuation to avoid the imminent flooding of Coal Creek. It's comforting to know that the security of Louisville residents is in the hands of such capable law enforcement people. Thank you, Officer Odenbach, for doing more than your job....for showing what a truly caring person you are. Kent Darragh
