With two "big block" stores within half a mile of each other, we're not restricted to just one building supply outlet. Lowe's, however, is our store of preference. The staff is helpful and thoroughly professional. Selection is wide and varied. If you qualify, don't hesitate to ask for your 10%veteran's discount (retired military IDs, VA eligibility card or membership card from one of the recognized better groups like American Legion, VFW, or DAV are usually required).

I have been a Lowe's customer for 20 plus years... I shop stores all over NC. Occasionally I shop at Home Depot and I must say there customer service is much better than Lowe's. They make you feel welcome.

Staff was helpful and very knowledgeable. Was looking for a new miter saw and information about ordering different colors of composite decking. They had pamphlets on each of four brands they offer including trex and lead times so I could plan start time.

Spent 45 minutes working up a quote for a special order door, had to call the manufacturer with a question before we could order. Lowes rep never called us back. Ordered from another vendor. Went in today for post covers. Said they had 39 in stock on website. Shelf empty....took 20 minutes for them to find them and then they filled the shelf before giving me the 2 I needed. Apparently they don't like my money because service stinks.

Typically have some decent deals but have been extremely disappointed with the level of customer services as of the last several visits. Used to be willing to pay a bit more for better service, but at this point not sure if I will be returning. After one sour incident I chalked it up to someone having a bad day. Just about every visit after that has been bad as well so it's just a shame at this point. Them to top it off if you order something online half the time their inventory system is off and they don't have what you need.
