Luigi's is a family restaurant and pizzeria that has a full bar. We specialize and Italian Cuisine, but have a large menu that also includes American favorites. We deliver the entire menu and also have both onsite and offsite catering available. We are family owned and operated and have been serving Charlotte County for over 33 years.

I will start off by saying I am a bit of a pizza snob having worked at a few pizza places for almost 10 years. Luigis Pizza was one of the best pizza experiences I have had since moving to Florida. The pizza was delicious. We were there for 1/2 price pizza day and got 3 New York style pizzas. One was just pepperoni, one had pepperoni mushrooms and the one I ordered was pepperoni sausage and meatball. They were all cooked perfectly and void of all the cornmeal that lots of places around here like to use. If you are craving pizza and in the Port Charlotte area I would highly recommend Luigis pizza.

Best pizza and real Italian food in the Charlotte County area, and even southwest Florida area. You get a ton of excellently cooked food and the staff is very helpful. Make sure that you plan ahead because this place is generally busy so you may have a wait, just grab a drink at the bar. Best veal cutlet parmesan by far.

It's been a while since we've been there. We stopped in last night and we were surprised at the changes. Some of the wait staff looked as if they had been recently released from prison. So many tattoos! We ordered draft beers. The glasses were so small. Almost seemed like children's mugs. Why have happy hour and then serve tiny drinks? I had sausage and  peppers. Usually my favorite but the sauce had a burned taste as if it had been reheated over several days. The place was not busy but the service was very slow. I will go back in the future and give it one more try. Possibly it could have been an off night. Although I remember the crowds that used to be there in season. So maybe I'm not alone in the disappointment.

Our server, Laura, was great,  but we were a bit disappointed with the food. Husband had spaghetti with meatballs which he rated "okay." I had eggplant parm, to me the benchmark of good Italian restaurants. It was obviously par-cooked, frozen eggplant which meant it was overcooked at the restaurant. A disappointment. Good news was the salads. They were fresh and tasty.
The restaurant was busy, and we were warned there would be a 45 minute wait for food. I figured they were short on staff. We'll try one more time but will order pizza only. If that isn't good,we'll be done with Luigi's

Hostess kept leaving and would be gone a bit before taking our names to get seated. Waited   25 min. But we are paitient. The food was awesome. The waitress was nice but all the wait staff looked way over worked and tired. If they would hire more smiling faces, i would have granted them a 5 star. A restaurant  should never skimp on service and staff.
