Rose was our server here and she was PHENOMENAL. Super personable, very speedy with our food, attentive to every request. If you're going here, ask for her, she's stellar. The food was good and I love all of the little sides you get but I had to take a star off because the restaurant itself was not very clean. The carpet in the dining rooms was full of crumbs; and the tables still had dishes on them in some sections. It might be best if this place switched over to hard floors in the future to avoid this.

The food is always great. We go at least once a month and I've only had a bad steak delivered to the table once in 10 years. And they were happy to correct the issue right away and covered a fair portion of the tab. Never disappointed. The waiting area/store is fun to wander through while waiting for seating. Which can be an issue on the weekends. But worth the wait.

Machine Shed has a great brunch buffet on Sundays. Two varieties of scrambled eggs, a made-to-order omelette station, bacon, sausage, bread pudding, French toast, cheesy hash browns, ham, prime rib, vegetable pasta bake, chicken, potatoes, mashed potatoes and gravy, beef tips, several desserts, cold pasta salads, fresh fruit, and a good salad bar with a variety of toppings and salad dressings. I'm sure I'm missing some food items, but you get the idea. I also love their store. You can find fun and unique items from cards to books, cooking utensils to t-shirts, to candy. Fair prices. Friendly welcoming staff, clean restaurant, nice buffet displays. They serve Pepsi products which is great because Coke products are sold almost every where else. They serve non-buffet meals "family style" where each table shares the accompaniments with their group.

My daughter and I hosted a large baby shower this past week-end. The staff was very helpful in setting up the party in a separate area. We were able to decorate, we had a light lunch and dessert buffet and there was plenty of room for all of the guests. We will definitely do this again!

I absolutely love this place. If I could give it 10 stars I would. So they serve fresh bread, apple bread, this apple sauce type dish, and coleslaw. I'm not sure what's with the coleslaw though, it seems out of place with the other stuff but anyway, the butter is delicious. I can't put my finger on what it is about the butter but I can't get enough!! I could eat it by the bucket! They bring as much as you can eat to. Excellent. I order the country fried steak with garlic mashed potatoes, extra butter and extra country gravy every time. It is one of my favorite meals anywhere. The theme here is kind of old farm style. According to the story on the menu it originated in Iowa so fitting I suppose. The tables are huge too. I mean really big. I'm not sure why, I think it's part of the theme but I bet you could fit 8 wide people comfortably in a booth. The silverware is normal size though. They also have a gift shop with a bunch of random stuff. This one is attached to a holiday inn.
