Mediocre at best. Waitress seemed to be in a huge hurry to help everyone but us. Food was blah. Vegetables we're undercooked and underseasoned, steak medallions we're tough, burger wasn't pink, risotto had no trace of rice in it, polenta wasn't creamy at all. 

The atmosphere even in the dining room was bar - LOUD - I couldn't hear the person next to me.

The waiter was mediocre. Besides being in a hurry when I asked whether the "medallions" we're beef (because the menu didn't indicate what meat there were) she made a horrified face and said "they're steak?"

Obviously plenty of other people eat here, but I'm not coming back.

We usually sit in the bar area (love the happy hour specials).  The service is mediocre.  There are usually tons of dirty glasses at the end of the bar.  Everyone is running around but no one seems to be getting good service.   Several of the wait staff are way too loud (including the bar tender today!)  But we keep going back...

The food was good but seemed too expensive for what you got. My wife got the lobster macaroni and she said it tasted basically like Velveeta with a few pieces of lobster. I got the blackened chicken which I enjoyed. It was about 60$ for one appetizer, two entrees and two drinks.

Average food at an average price. Nothing stands out as either great or bad. It is a place that will serve you bar food, er, I mean tavern food in exchange for money.

Amy, our server, created a great experience. All employee encounters were pleasant and welcoming. Flatbread was fantastic! I would recommend Lakes to family and friends!!
