We went shopping to purchase hubby a suit. It had been some time since we were suit shopping and felt a bit out of the loop. Michael in men's fashion was absolutely amazing! Took my hubby under his wing and got him outfitted quickly. Michael's 40+ years of experience in men's suits was so incredibly helpful, his decades of experience and in depth knowledge set us at ease instantly. He is the man to see when you need a suit!

I never seem to find what I am looking for in this store. I went for something in jewelry and, though there were two people behind the counter talking to each other, and I walked around and around the counter, they never stopped to help me they even went in and out of the little door to the counter but never asked if I needed help. I was looking at a $400 purchase. So I went to dresses, where they only had about five styles of formals. The fitting rooms were closed and customers had to walk across the store to try things on To salvage the trip, I went to shoes. I wanted to try on a couple of pairs, but couldn't get help enough to ask for a size. The last time I went to this store, I needed brown tights. There weren't any. It seems like a simple thing to pick up, but they were out. I often find they're out of what I need. I like Macy's okay, but not this location. Customer service could salvage my impression of it.

Tried returning a comforter we purchased with reciept. In origionail packaging, still in the package it was shipped in. We paid $234.00 on our credit card but they would not return it or honor an exchange. Never again will I shop here!!! They made us feel like we were doing something wrong.

Went in with my mother and she had a question about shirt sizes. We approached two associates, both on their phones. One looked up and said to the other, "you can help her if you want, I guess." The other completely ignored us and they both went back to looking at dresses on their phones and talking with one another. We just stood there, sort of shocked at this blatant disrespect and laziness. Won't be back. Sad because Hilldale is such a cool place otherwise.

Good product selection. Make sure to buy on sale. As department stores go in this hard retail environment due to the internet, Macys does a good job. I agree that more sales folks would be better on the floor. But do patronize the last remaining real department store like Macys, as Sears and Penney may have seen their better days. We as customers should not let that happen to Macys or even Penneys. You might get free shipping on Amazon, but this Macys allows you to see the merchandise, and I would rather pay a few dollars more to get the goods today than wait a few days for the post office. Plus, you can have items shipped directly to the Macy's at Hilldale for free and fast delivery that has worked well when I needed it.
