Large flagship Macy’s store which many moons ago used to be Famous Barr store. Since closure of the downtown Macy’s this is the largest in STL. Customer service and apparel selection is better than the rest of the area store. They have decent collection of North Face stuff also. The men’s section of suits and jackets need some organization but overall not a bad experience.

I went to buy some men's shoes, and I was standing around for almost 1/2 hour before anybody helped me. There was a man working there who ignored me completely, acting like I wasn't there, and a woman who seemed annoyed that she had to do her job. I finally got the woman's attention to ask for my size in a pair of shoes, and she quickly came back and said "no, we don't have that size." Then she went in back and disappeared. No "sorry about that," or "can I help you with something else," or anything like that. I felt like I was in their way just by being a customer and needing help. Other departments might be okay, but the men's shoe department really needs a lot of work. Needless to say, I took my business elsewhere.

Came in today to buy shoes Eric was really helpful. Was very busy there and he was able to multitask really well. Thanks Eric.

Went to buy shoes, of the 3 styles I wanted, they only had 1 in my size. Not one pair. One shoe. I waited a half hour for the employees to find its partner, to no avail. +2 stars because the employees were genuinely sorry. -3 stars because, cmon, Im ready to give Macys my money and they only have one shoe.

Definitely one of the best Macys I've ever been to. The staff upstairs helped me pick out a great comforter and pillow for new new place. Very knowledgeable. Doorbuster sales are great also. The staff is usually pretty knowledgeable.
