My 18 year old Afro-Latino brother was racially profiled at this store on September 14th, 2017. Employee's name I believe is Versa, she was working in the men's suit department. She snatched a coat out of my brother's hands and refused to let him color match the coat with a pair of shoes he needed as he's pledging DTD; he was just admitted to the University of Washington - Seattle. I never really shopped at this wannabe Nordstrom anyway, but they just sealed the deal on never getting another one of my dollars. However, this isn't the first time Macy's and racially profiling has gone hand in hand. Back in the Winter of 2014 I was road tripping with my best friend to Los Angeles because I had just been admitted to the University of Southern California. We decided to go shopping dressed in some pajamas because we hadn't been able to check into our hotel and I had a gift card to Macy's and wanted some Dior perfume. We were followed all over the store relentlessly and since then I haven't stepped into this White supremacist store. Should've warned my brother, but now it's a lesson for him on being Black/Brown in America. Great quick life lesson on the racism from this tacky department joint: you'll always be a hoodrat even through you're actually a scholar. Oh.

Very nice store but don't go in the plus size section. They love to discriminate transgender people. Dam elderly woman -employee send me to the men's section for a shirt I wanted even though I came to the woman's section. Go to Bellevues Macy's instead.

I miss this place being the Bonn. Prices are equal to that of Nordstrom. Customer service isn't that great. If I didn't have a mild perfume allergen I might actually be able to step foot in the store. Wouldn't be the first time I was "forced" to try a product. Then spend an hour + filling out paperwork for a medical claim.

This is and has always been one of the main anchor stores for Southcenter mall. It's a huge 4 level store. The bottom two floors consist of various clothing departments, and makeup, fragrance, and home are the top two floors. There just don't seem to be very many sales associates available on the floor to help you until the holiday season rush. Probably to cut costs. I always have to walk half way across a level to find someone. There just is not very much emphasis put on assisting customers in the store. Probably because consumers can find info before they visit the store, the associates are no longer used to a lot of customer interaction. I've actually been shopping online most of the time rather that in-store because the shipping is fast, free for purchases over $75, and they have great sales and online sales typically trump in-store, with better selection because they can pull from their national stock. You can have things shipped to this store location for free and then pick it up on the north side of the store right outside the bottom floor, or just have it shipped to your home. Overall, the online shopping experience has trumped the in-store nowadays. The in-store experience seems to be taking a steady dip during the online shopping era. But I will give it 4 starts because Macy's has still held on to most of their in-store presentation and quality of service.
