If I could rate the men's store zero I would. I tried to buy size ten men's dress shies, a size 36 black dress belt, a 44R Cashmere blend men's overcoat. I waited 45 minutes for the shorthanded staff to tell me they didn't have any of my sizes in store. Did they search other stores? No. They just said what a great sales price they had on the items...that don't fit...really?

Never had an issue here. Prices can be high but selection is good. Sales that take place are great for getting quality clothing for cheap.

Sometimes I visit the estee lauder counter, and I get service right away. But many times, there's no one even there, and you have to go looking for someone to help you from one of the other makeup counters. And those women don't know where anything is, and can't find products outside of the makeup center they're assigned to. It's also frustrating because some of these women don't even spend time helping you find the product that's best for you. They look for something and throw it at you whether it's right for you or not.

Platinum members since 2012 & I am HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED w/ the way my family was scolded by Lisa in the furniture dept today. I was unable to speak to her supervisor Luis today, so I decided to cancel my account. My 2 year old pulled up blinds, (causing no damage) as my husband picked him up, Lisa from 4 yards away shouted out “Don’t play with those!” with another Macy’s customer nearby shopping. I immediately apologized. My husband already had our son, & she HAD to say “those are not a toy.” I was so abashed & livid I couldn’t even stay in the store. I’m never giving another penny to Macy’s & it’s a shame b/c this store has provided so much for all our families.

I visited the Northpark mall to look at Oakley glasses in the Oakley store. We parked across from Macy's and had to walk through the store to get to the Oakley store. On our first trip through, one employee took time from their day to accurately describe how to get to the Oakley store. On our way back, we came through Macy's again. We stopped in the men's section and an employee helped us twice, once when locating an item and another time when we had a question at checkout time. Both times she was pleasant and helpful. Finally, as we were about to exit the store, we saw that Macy's actually had some Oakley sunglasses, too. An employee helped us while we were looking at the glasses. When we didn't find what we wanted there, she suggested another place we could look. This type of employee assistance from three different employees gives me confidence that most of Macy's employees have been taught to actually care about the needs of their customers rather than simply trying to make a sale. I had my two sons with me and I made a comment to them about life using the Macy's employees as object lessons. I told them that trying to help people will actually make you a more useful and valuable person in life.
