First of all, wonderful staff! The servers are busy busy busy but they take the time to make sure each table is satisfied and served well! The food is great quality as well. The portions are large. You get more food and better quality than you would at a Denny’s or IHOP. The interior is very dated and could use a makeover. It is old but clean. I didn’t notice any old stains or rips in the booths or chairs. The carpet is definitely in need of replacement, but you won’t be walking around barefoot and don’t eat anything that falls on the floor. Overall, exceptional service, decent food and a great hidden spot for a Sunday breakfast.
If your looking for a nice place for breakfast or just dine in... This is the place for you guys. And on top of that if you like the old fashion vibe with music and everything my friends you gotta stop by.... Food: 5/5
The Best in Orange County. I hope Magnolia Cafe never shuts down, the closest to a Perfect home-cooked Meal. Staff is wonderful from the Wait Staff to the Cooks. The breakfasts are hearty, Turkey Dinner is AWESOME! and the portions served are above and beyond expectations. Listening to the Waitresses talk to their patrons is Outstanding Customer Service. If you need a new place to eat out start with Breakfast at Magnolia Cafe, then come back for lunch and finish your day with Dinner.
Had the side salad, wife had the Denver omelette and hash browns, I had the Reuben and hash browns. Salad was fine, omelette and hash browns were good and my Reuben thick and juicy. Also had a biscuit an gravy. Old fashion thick light biscuit and awesome gravy, friendly service, our waitress was sweet, nice old fashion place oldies music. A total kick back place relaxing place with delish food.
I had vegetable soup, taste like my mothers. Wonderful flavor.Food: 5/5
True home cooked flavors with satisfying portions. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming with customer service skills that are hard to find these days. Would definitely make this a regular stop.Food: 5/5
My hash browns were not cooked all the way and the chicken fried steak was just a cheap patty that looked like something you buy in the frozen section of the grocery store. My wife's steak tasted like nothing,it had no seasoning and her scrambled eggs were running away. Had I known why she was getting the food to go only to throw away later, I would have requested a refund. I tried to eat her food later that day, but it was so bad that I was done after the first bite. Breakfast is not complicated and I realized they need a new cook
I’ve been driving past Magnolia Cafe for years and never thought about stopping there. I had been craving a good ol’ American-Style cafe breakfast like I used to get back in the 60’s and 70’s at establishments like Huf’s Hut, Park Pantry, Russell’s and Fidler’s Three…sadly, all gone now. So last week we stopped for a late breakfast and upon entering, immediately felt that good vive I used to get upon entering the aforementioned cafes of yesteryear. We were immediately greeted with a friendly smile from our server, Patricia. To my surprise, the menu included my all-time favorites; Patty Melts, Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs with Mash Potatoes and Gravy but most important to me, Grits! The prices for all items were very reasonable, including the big NY Steak and Eggs. Atmosphere was warm and friendly, the food was fantastic and the service superb…never had to request a warm-up for my coffee. I was in breakfast heaven so I will definitely be returning at least once a week for breakfast and also to try their lunches.
Very good food went for breakfast, comfortable atmosphere, staff very nice & friendly.Food: 5/5
