Story

We have been in the lumber industry since 1993; being a provider of quality domestic & imported hardwoods. The company was started by Robert "Buck" Sarver, in 1993 & has grown into a roughly 35,000 square foot facilty with showroom, shop & warehouse space, that includes roughly between 500,000 - 600,000 board feet of lumber. We are located in Mars, PA, just North of Pittsburgh!!! If you have any questions or specific needs; please do not hesitate to contact us.

Had a project that needed a 6 foot board. Very simple request, we paid for the board, was told it would be ready soon. Two weeks later we had yet to get a call. Since this project had a time constraint, we looked elsewhere to find a board and got it the very next day from another company. We called Mars Lumber multiple times and never received the board that we paid for, and never were refunded for their mistake. I Highly suggest that you look elsewhere for supplies that you may need. You will find better, faster, more friendly service.

Me and my friends ordered wood for a project that we needed wood as soon as possible and it took weeks to get. In fact, we never received our wood or our money back. If you have lots of time on your hands, I would say that this might be a good place, but you can for sure find better deals and much better customer service elsewhere. I heavily suggest other lumber yards to get any and all wood you might need.

My order took two weeks to get done, these people do good work. However, they have no idea of urgency. I had to call multiple times to make sure they were going to actually give me my order.

Bucky, Rob, and Rick are the best in the business if you are looking for unique types of wood that you will not find ANYWHERE else! Mars Lumber's ability to provide custom mill work for things like moldings and chair rail is also unmatched. They were able to exactly match the base board of the 90 year old home I'm in the process of renovating, and were great to work with along the way. If your project involves any sort of specialized wood or mill work, these are the folks you should be working with.

I placed an order on a piece of wood that I needed, and it is over two weeks later and the store hasn't gotten back to me. Even when I call they do not pick up. Horrible service. Make sure you do not give them your business. This is ridiculous.
