First, Steve was our realtor. When my partner and I decided to look for a house in Montclair we called Steve on a recommendation from a coworker, and we are so glad we did. Steve is steadfastly dedicated to us and our goals. Steve spent countless hours with us over the course of almost a year, educating us, showing houses, talking about houses, preparing bids, helping us define our goals, constantly reassuring us that the right house for us is out there, and never once making us feel like he was trying to sell us something.

Allow me to repeat that: Steve never once made us feel like he was trying to sell us something. We never felt pressured and never felt that he was rushing us. Truly he treated us like partners.

Steve clearly understands that educating us on the market and its value, current and future, was his foremost job. We were patient, we listened, and we ended up with a house beyond our wildest dreams. And we owe it all to this wonderful, patient, smart man who guided us to it and helped us win it. We can’t imagine doing this without him.

And secondly, Steve has been an amazing ally in all things home related in the Montclair area. From flooring to electrical, plumbing to pest control, Steve knows the person to call. And when we call a service provider and say, “Steve Matthews said I should call you” we get drop-everything-and-come-right-over service. Steve’s reputation and standing in the community is impeccable and we’re thrilled to have hime on our side.
