I came to Weichert to list my rental. The customer service side of things leaves a lot to be desired. I have to update my previous review because I said they rented my place but alas, I was wrong. The tenant's deposit check bounced leaving me with a newly opened tenant savings account and an overdrawn fee. When I approached the broker, she had no idea what was going on and simply wanted to proceed to finding another tenant like nothing happened. I realize now that any professional broker should ask for a certified check or bank check for these kinds of transactions. When I called her to discuss further, she had no insight to provide and said she didn't bother vetting the prospect further because I seemed like I was in a rush, which I was not. Mind you, this is the second broker from Weichert I worked with, as the first one was more worried about getting me locked into a contract than even viewing my unit or taking pictures. (Yes, she listed my place without pictures then proceeded to tell me she didn't know when she would have a chance to view my unit or take pictures). I asked to switch and the new realtor was a bit better but also not very communicative or experienced. She reached out mostly via text, which I find to be counterproductive when doing business, and when I would text back to point something out or ask a question that perhaps didn't please her or she didn't have an answer to, she simply ignored it and I was left to follow up again. But when she wanted an answer, I was expected to reply within minutes. I spent two weeks tied up with a prospective renter whose check bounced and, in that time, she said she didn't entertain other inquiries or show my place because she considered it rented. As a client services professional, I cannot stress how important it is to be communicative, conscientious, and at least pretend to fein interest in your client's bottom line and wellbeing during the process and do what you say you will. I will NEVER work with Weichert again and will be more conscientious and go for professionalism over convenience next time.
