Overall a good experience here. We got our food quickly, and it was delicious. The atmosphere of this restaurant was odd to me. Tables are lit by the tiniest tealight candle, and it was so dark, everyone was using their phone flashlights to be able to see the menu. Additionally, the service wasn't that great. The waitress came over a lot, but once we got our food, she didn't come over again for like half an hour. By this time, we'd long finished eating, and had been waiting for the check. The busboy came over and completely cleared our table, before the waitress came over and asked if we wanted dessert and said she'd bring our check. Overall, Maxwell's is great. The food is very good, a little overpriced, but it's expected. Be prepared for a lot of waiting time, even if it's not that busy.

As locals, we have lots of friends who love this place, so we decided to give it another try. The wait to be seated was long, even though there were empty tables. We were seated at a table that wasn't clean. They wiped it with us sitting there. Slow service. We ordered sandwhiches and slices and waited 30 minutes. We had to ask 3 times for my sons slice of cheese pizza to be brought. Everyone else was done with their meal before it came. Drinks were wrong, twice. The server added 2 additional items onto the bill that we didn't get. He removed them when we pointed it out- but sloppy all around. Also, the restaurant is showing lots of wear, kinda shabby, needs some serious cleaning and repair. Not worth the big slice.

Great location and the atmosphere was great that is about where the two stars end. After hanging by the bar for a bit (slow service) We decided to order a "fat kid pizza" and salad to go. They said they would call or come get us at the bar. A good 45 minutes went by and we decided to ask the hostess where our order was. She first brought out the wrong order and made a claim that was the only to go order they had. After looking a little harder they found our order and went to the back to get our pizza. It was cold. So how long had it been back there? The pizza itself was mediocre. We ordered a Hawaiian and the pizza had maybe a dozen pineapple pieces total. They didn't include any utensils for the salad...we had to go back inside and ask for them. For overpriced mediocre food with terrible service...go somewhere else.

Fast friendly service. Lots of outdoor dining. Sports bar feel. Pizza was good. I like their crust, more on the thin side, like oversized Napoli style crust. Toppings were ok. Caesar salad was crispy, would be better with homemade croutons.
