Chloe & Natalie were absolutely fabulous! Very friendly, welcoming & knowledgeable. The customer service they provided was above & beyond! Will definitely be frequenting this place— all ice cream is homemade and ingredients are locally sourced in Saint Augustine! Several dairy-free and gluten-free options— unlike most places, where you’re lucky to find one of each. The coffee & donuts flavor really tastes like it’s name! You gotta try it.
Interesting selection of ice cream flavors. Pricey for 2 scoops of ice cream “$9” though it’s clearly not 2 scoops. I got “Coffee & Donuts” coffee ice cream was tasty but bits of donut was just hard pieces of bread without flavor. Not sure I’d go back. Plenty of other options in the area.
Nice staff, clean spot, small cozy ice cream shop indoor and outdoor seating. Ice cream is light.
Really cute Ice cream spot!!! After dinner in river city, we decided we wanted ice-cream, we went to cold stone and the line was extremely long and the service didn’t seem good or fast, only 2 young kids working. We left cold stone and decided to try out this place and it was amazing! Amazing service, the teenage girls that worked that night treated us very well! They were about the same age as the kids at cold stone but definitely knew how to treat a customer! I didn’t get their names but it was around 8 pm on 11-20. The prices are around the same as cold stone so I’m not sure why people are complaining so much about it, everything seems to be handcrafted and a smaller ice-cream business like this has the right to have prices like this especially with inflation, if they don’t like the prices they can go to Walmart across the street lol. Great service happy customer and will be returning
On Sept 30th my husband and I decided to try the new Mayday at River City after having a nice dinner at La Nopalera which is in the same plaza. As we were full from dinner, we decided to get a pint each and bring it home to enjoy later. I don't know if it was too soon after hurricane Ian, or if it was an off-day for the business but for two small pints of ice cream that ended up costing over $23.00, it was the WORST ice cream I've ever had!!! We grabbed the pints from their freezer, so I don't know... maybe it had been sitting there too long? I had the Pistachio Moon and my husband had the Bourbon Pecan. The ice cream was somewhat bland but had a strange flavor the clove maybe? that was not like ANY Pistachio ice cream I've ever tasted. The texture was also rough and granular...not at all creamy. It was just awful. My husband said his Bourbon Pecan was "alright" but absolutely NOT worth the $11.00+ for one little pint of ice cream. I don't usually like to leave such negative reviews but that was a significant amount of money for an ice cream experience that turned out to be so sorely disappointing!
Little ice cream shop in just the right place. Parking is a little difficult due to the other stores in the area. If you plan it right you can just walk over after getting food from the Mexican restaurant in the same parking lot. They let you taste anything before you buy but most places let you do that.
I love that the ice cream store has all glass panels. I found this on a whim late at night while craving ice cream but my experience here was not the most pleasant. I came here for my birthday or like the night before my birthday. I understand that the staff cannot serve me any alcoholic ice cream but I wanted to ask since it was about 2 hours before my birthday. They were quite rude afterwards even though I said I would like to get the normal vanilla ice cream and completely understood their policy. My friend ended up purchasing the watermelon mojito for himself and they were quite rude to him.
Visiting from south Florida and happened to stumble into this gem. Only thing better than the ice cream with home made sprinkles .. was the excellent service we received. Can’t wait to try again!!!
This icecream joint has a nice selection of flavors, with my favorite being the Lavender Earl Grey. It makes a great stop if your looking for something cold and sweet, especially in the Florida heat. Albeit leans on the pricier side.
The ice cream is really good! The staff are always nice and engaging. My only issue is the lack of parking available. Otherwise a wonderful place for a sweet treat.
