Eclectic location with delicious ice cream. Has a very friendly staff, who was patient and let us try many different unique flavors. A proper value for the quality home made waffles, cones, and delicious ice creams and sorbets. We enjoyed the unique location near the historic train station/ tracks. And loved the outdoors local art collection. Would definitely frequent again.
My second time to Mayday in Jacksonville Florida, and there will be more to come. Simply the most creamy and flavorful ice cream you could wish for. I had a waffle cone with 2 flavors: triple vanilla and coffee & donuts. May I say wow. Support a local Florida owned and operated business. Check out Mayday Ice Cream.
Ice cream was delicious. I had the Gillespie Bourbon pescan was sooo good. The salted caramel my husband loved. Ice creams are not your usual flavors
After dinner with the fam we stopped by this gem of an ice cream parlor. The flavors were so unique and so delicious. Strawberry mint, cookie crunch and lavender malange were the flavors we chose. The outside sitting area is such a cool space to enjoy your sweet treat and even catch the train passing through. Definately a must
I've been to just about every Mayday ice cream shop that they have open currently.... Honestly, these guys have me won over. I have no ties to the place at all...I will tell you this though, I have been to three locations in Jacksonville and one of the two in Saint Augustine. When you go into Mayday ice cream you're not just getting amazing ice cream... You're getting an experience. You're getting a quick snippet of history about the company, REAL information about the flavors. You're being informed about their other locations that may be more convenient for you. More importantly, you're getting a great attitude and an enthusiastic smile from the employees. You're receiving professional, courteous service from a person that cares about their job and likes to interact with people and believes in the product that they're selling. I know, I know, it's just ice cream... ....but that's just it. It's ice cream, but they present it like its been prepared by a 5 star chef. It's fresh, its gourmet they even have adult 21+ flavors. Honestly, it doesn't matter what you're selling at the end of the day... With the right attitude and a product that you believe in, you can turn anything mundane into an experience and I think these people have mastered the idea of that. The ice cream is made locally, it's fresh, the stock rotates per season...but don't worry, you can still most likely get a pint of an off-season flavor from the freezer. My suggestion, let it soften up...just a tiny little bit if you get it from the freezer before diving into a pint. The flavors seem bolder that way. My favorite happens to be the caramel apple pie. Friendly environment, cool theme, great well-thought out, broad spectrum of flavors... and most important of all in my opinion is that you leave there feeling better, or at least not worse, than you did when you walked in. Highly recommended.
The ice cream was not impressive or tasty at all. Not many varieties of flavors and on top of that, quite pricey for a scoop in a cup.
It was amazing!! If you ever want some bomb tasting desert, this is the place! I had the salted queen caramel ice-cream. It was so good and not too sweet. Highly recommend this place to family and friends.
First time customer. Very clean shop, very good ice cream, about $6.00 single scoop specialty cones
I heard so much about this place from my son my expectations were very high. The quality of their ice cream is very good, the flavor was just OK in my opinion. The prices were kind of high too, so I wasn't blown away by the experience. I will give them another chance next time I'm in San Marco, maybe I will find a flavor that wows me.
Unique flavors of ice cream on freshly made waffle cones lend to a delicious experience! I recommend The Aviator, it is Nutella ice cream with Biscoff cookie chunks...absolutely amazing! Friendly staff, in a storefront that is clean and aesthetically pleasing. All Around great experience.
