My first visit here at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale which is a well organized clinic both in relation to the facility itself and also in relation to the provision of clinical care. Patients will go through a process. They are  registered first and then guided to the next level until they see their specialist based on their appointments. At each stage there is a thorough documentation of patient's visit and what went on including the notes of the treating physician which includes the assessment results and the recommendations and orders. At this point, if the doctor recommends admission and the patients can afford  through insurance they will be admitted to the hospital otherwise they will be seen and followed up in the out-patient clinic. As a whole the Mayo Clinic has an efficient administrative and professional management.

I was utterly disappointed in the Mayo Clinic. I felt that the doctor I saw was mediocre at best, and did not accurately diagnose me. My experience was that they ran a ton of tests, did not get insurance approval first, and then sent a a ridiculous bill for thousands of dollars in uncovered expenses. They wouldn’t negotiate down the price, although they “generously “ will give a 10% discount if you pay in full.

Appointments are always on time. Staff is always helpful. Facilities are very well maintained. Beautiful scenery

Took a half day of work to make an appointment here. I waited a month and a half for my appointment. They asked me to show up early so I arrived 30 minutes early for my 1:15 appointment. I had to leave for work at 3. I waited for an hour for someone to call my name. It was to fill out my contact information which was already filled out. Then she said I could go upstairs and check in. I give this girl my name and she says 'oh, you're checking in for your 2:15 appointment?'  They scheduled me an hour appointment to fill out my contact info?!?!?!?!?!?!?!! Thanks Mayo Clinic for ruining my day and wasting another month and a half of my life without treatment.

Danielle Marie Troop is a phlebotomist there that committed stolen valor against the USMC.

She pretends to be a USMC veteran when she never served. 

The USMC hymn plays every now and then on the hospital campus while that fraud impersonates a service member.
