At McCarty’s Pro Towing & Automotive, we provide towing and auto repair services for Owensboro and the surrounding communities, helping folks with their vehicles when they need us most. With our 24/7 towing services and equipment, we’re here for customers when their vehicles unexpectedly falter, making sure they get safely back on the road and to their final destinations. Girlfriends alternator went out the other day at 5 AM. The police said to use this place so she did. I didn't find out about it until 6:30 AM when she got home and I woke up. We aren't from Kentucky (her family is) so we didn't know where to go anyway.

I thought their prices were really cheap. Much higher back home and up north. The lady at the counter wasn't exactly emanating friendly customer service. Actually thought she was quite rude. Oh well, as long as their work holds up and proves to be good I  think we will be happy to use them.

We called them to pull a semi truck/trailer out of a spot assuming they had the capabilities to move it since they were charging $400 for call out fee and said they could do the job. Ultimately, they had to get a 2nd wrecker out for a total of $900 for one hour. Had we known they didn't have a large enough wrecker we would have called someone else. :( some lessons are hard learned. Next time we need a wrecker we will ask and clarify to ensure they have adequate equipment needed for job.

My truck was towed lastnight by McCartys keep n mind my 16yr old was driving they towed it without my consent was not notified. I always thought you could choose who you wanted to tow your vehicle, nope not the case here. I went 12hrs later to pick it up I was told how much I needed I got there they tried charging me more. I was charged for 2 days when it was only 12hrs, on top of that it was a Saturday they were opened and was charged a weekend release. The older gentlemen was so disrespectful I've never seen anything like it. He ripped me off so bad he couldn't even look me n the face while talking.. Red flag.. NEVER AGAIN

Paid hundreds of dollars just to bring my dad's car back the same week for them to say the engines bad and would cost more to fix than its worth and bought the car for $100 in scrap.   I think they just wanted to part out car and take brand new tires. Horrible service very disappointed in hometown business.
