This is a really nicely run store, especially when compared to the big box stores in the area. Staff is helpful and honest. I would recommend for anyone looking for a positive shopping experience.

I have visited this store 5 times and 4 out of 5 times they are not been nice or helpful. More like lazy. When I go to ACE hardware or OSH it is the reverse. I live in Meadow Vista so am sort of stuck going here for odds and ends. An example: 1-20-15 I went to the store with an online coupon and shopping list based on their website. They would not honor the website. They said even if the website has an item on sale, they won't honor it unless they say it is on sale. I also had a $5.00 coupon for spending over $50, i looked at the restrictions and I was within the guideline but up on the wall is a note that dogwood was not included and even if it had, i think they would have turned it down since it does say at the owners discretion. I gave it two stars because it is convenient. This store should be in a big city with their attitudes.

Several times now I have ran all over Auburn and called places from Colfax to Roseville looking for some items such as 1/8 hardware cloth or a wet tile saw for rent. None of the big box stores have had what I needed. But this True Value has had them and saved the day!
