I have been to this one. The fence is to low my dog jumped right over it. Hardly any shard, I feel our town could upgrade it and make it a,lot nicer. I have gone to the one in tampon spring and Clearwater and sever others around and they are much nicer then ours. I wish our city would make it nice like they did the park

The place is nice but the small dog park needs to fix the gate. The dogs can slip right under the gate due to the gap. Many of the dogs don't have current rabies tags or don't use them. That makes you think if they're current with there vaccines..

We have been going to Meadows Dog Park for over three years and usually have a pleasant experience and although the park itself is small and not well maintained, the other owners are usually polite and friendly. This morning, however, we had a very negative experience when I brought my usual dog, Atticus and his new brother Jasper. Jasper is a rescue dog and is well behaved - he gets along well with the other dogs he has met but has never been to the dog park before since he was in shelter most of his life. Immediately when we arrived two of the regulars, an older gentlemen and a younger hispanic woman asked if my new dog gets along well with other dogs. I explained that he's never been to the dog park before but I'll keep close watch over him and stay near him and he should be fine, and they both immediately leashed up their dogs and cleared out of the park. It's very disappointing to see supposed dog lovers, especially this woman who works with rescue dogs prevent their dogs from socializing with my dog because he isn't very socialized, when the purpose of bringing him to the dog park is to allow him to socialize with other dogs. Another owner of an extra large dog didn't hesitate to bring his dog in to play with my two dogs. At first the dogs were doing well having regular interactions. First my dog Atticus went up and sniffed the big dog, then shortly after Jasper went up and sniffed the big dog. The big dog was triggered suddenly and very aggressively began attacking Jasper. The big dog jumped on his back and began biting him on the neck and it was very clear from his sounds and body language that he was being aggressive and trying to hurt my dog, not playing. While this was going on my dog Jasper wasn't doing much to fight back and I was standing over him blocking his neck from the incoming bites from the big dog and trying to push the big dog back, who unfortunately wasn't wearing a collar making him difficult to repel. After the big dogs owner managed the pull him off of my dog, they were separated and I was tending to my dog, the large dog was suddenly triggered again on it's own and very aggressively charged over and starting biting my dog in the neck again. After that the owner put his big dog on the leash and took him off to the side to calm down - I was a bit taken aback that the owner didn't correct his dog at all for attacking my dog multiple times. He didn't tell it "No", "No bite", "Bad dog", "Leave it" or anything, to him this was considering "just playing". Nice guy but he was irresponsible in this situation. The part where things went too far was right after that when the hispanic woman walked up to the fence from walking her dogs and suggested to me that I take my dog Jasper into the small dog park to be isolated from the other dogs. I responded, "I don't know if you saw the interaction that just took place but my dog didn't do anything wrong." to which she replied that she did not see the interaction but just feels that it would be better if I separate my dog from the rest of the dogs anyway. This was extremely rude because she was showing a bias towards my dog without even knowing what happened, assuming my dog was the one at fault when he hadn't done anything wrong. None of the other people around said anything and I responded again that I refuse to separate my dog when he had done nothing wrong, that I took offense and if it's a problem my dogs and I will leave. No one said anything and we left anyway because of the unwelcoming regulars, aggressive dog not being corrected, and the rudeness of that hispanic woman who can suck on a bone no pun intended. I have a problem with "regulars" at public places acting like they own the place, noone put you in charge b****. Will not be returning to this dog park for quite some time if ever and if I do this person better not say anything to me or she's gonna get some choice words maybe a couple "just playing"'s from the wife.

If I could give this zero stars - I would. First time coming to this dog park. I have two Cairn Terriers. The majority of the other dogs were aggressive breeds. One owner didn't want to put there pittbull in with the big dogs so the dog came to the small dog area and tossed my Cairn puppy all over the park. It's VERY sandy and in a questionable neighborhood. I would encourage you to find another park to visit.

This was an alright dog park. Average in size. There is a large and small dog side. There is a dog agility course also. Only odd part about this park is that it is in a neighborhood. Although I would return to this park again. My puppy is nice and exercized.
