Wow! This place has immensely improved from when I was a kid. The new play area that replaced the old wood structure is smaller but likely much safer for kids. I love the inclusion of the fountain area- that will be great for summer! The adult gym was a nice touch, and the path around the lake being full of poke stops will likely encourage kids, teens, and young adults alike to do some walking. The updated performance area is great, the bathrooms are better than before, and the new notification screen is really cool. I only wish there was more!

I am one of Jehovah's witnesses and every Tuesday I am there with the cart and I am pleased with how I am treated even if others do not share my views. Plus I get to watch the children and parents with their children and grandchildren. It is a wonderful atmosfere. I give it a 5 star rating Plus I live in the area and get to attend a lot of the festivities that are planned. I have 5 children and they now want to move out here.

I love Sims park . we go at least 2 times a week to walk our little dog. It is a great place to walk and most of the time it is really enjoyable. The town has done a fabulous job in remodeling it . my only complaint is the lids on scooters and skateboards. They do not slow down and I have been knocked down twice and my little dog has nearly run over a few times . I have pins and a metal plate in my ankle and can not Run or Jump out of the way it is hazardous . and the adult gym is way to crowded by young kids most of the time to even attempt to use it .

This is what a public park should be. It is clean and well maintained. It has huge grassy areas including an amphitheatre that is often used for outdoor concerts and other public performances. The playground is shaded which is a very big deal in Florida, and there is even a little spray park for the little ones. Pets are welcome and there are ample lighted walkways. There is a particularly nice walkway all the way around a little lake that is very picturesque. The bathrooms are clean and easily accessed. I love this park, and you will too.

Sims park has a great band stand, and a water play area for kids. Put in your kayaks at the boat ramp of of main st and kayak to a restaurant for lunch or walk along the river. It's a great community park.
