I went to Mercy medical Center to see Alindsey/Meeker. I have had nothing but problems with this facility. I was a patient there for a year. They are highly disorganized. The nurses and doctors do not communicate with one another. The nurses are not very knowledgeable when I had questions about different things having to do with my visit. They told me I needed to sign a release of information from a previous place I went to even though I had been going to them for a year or they would not fill my scripts anymore. It says voluntary on the paper work but the nurse said "it is voluntary but if you don't sign this the dr will not write your prescription."

Just came home after knee surgery at mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids. I could not have asked for better care. The nurses, techs, P/T, O/T, food service and volunteers took the time to answer any questions, never acted like I was an imposition (had this at other hospitals!) and were friendly to me and my wife the entire visit. They are a first class act and this is why we always come back to Mercy for any of our major medical needs! Love the 3rd floor staff!!!

Very bad hospital. Gave me compazine in ER when told them I was allergic.  Guess they wanted to make me a liar,  but my allergic reaction only confirmed it. What dr does that? 
That was just the beginning of my nightmare. Put in pshyche ward like a drug addict.  I have chronic pain syndrome, with jaw pain.  Treated like a criminal, all pain meds taken away like that would help. Stayed there for 2 1/2 excruciating weeks. Lost 30 pounds. Couldn't eat because of pain.  Was promised that the right antidepressants would take away pain. Lol. Was lied to by dr C. Also whitters. Told that no hospital or dr would ever give me pain meds again, a total lie. I believed them so didn't go to Lukes which I should have. Cost me months of hell with no pain meds or sleep.  Will never go to that hospital again.!!  You don't realize until they make a mistake.
