Metzy's is a hi-end Street-Food focused company, dedicated to serving ultra high quality Taqueria-style Street Food. Metzy's Cantina is the home-base-of-operations for all of Metzy's Mobile food in the Greater Newburyport area, and is also a fantastic and fun full-service Restaurant/Bar conveniently located in the NBPT Train Depot building.. Metzy's has engineered a menu that relies on a very limited ingredients list, and is elegantly simple yet deep with flavor and freshness.

Some examples include the fact that we shuck our own lobsters (summertime), so we can serve the sweetest and freshest lobster meat in our famous lobster tacos. We buy the best and most tender steak available and large shrimp, because that is what our customers expect from us. Our Sweet Potato/Black Bean recipe ("Sweet Balls") is a cult favorite for vegetarians.

Because of the way that our recipes utilize a limited range of ingredients, we can offer a wide variety of menu options for our customers, while still having the freshest food around. This is the essence of how and why we have been successful - limited ingredients make it easier to have FRESH ingredients, and consistency in flavor profiles.

Excellent Spot! Great food and even better service! We were welcome by the owner and his team of professionals as we sat at the bar. The chips and guacamole are outstanding, the margaritas are done right with a heavy pour, the tacos come out nice and hot and the churros are amazing light and fluffy on the inside with a espresso chocolate dipping sauce can't go wrong! Excellent spot! Cheers!

Just ate here for the third time. It continues to be a great place to get refreshing Mexican food. I love the quaint location right by the train, and the design of the interior. The owner is very friendly and the staff is as well. My girlfriend was very pleased with the margarita!

Metzy's is a fun spot if you're into Mexican. Occupying the Newburyport Commuter Rail Station, it's tucked a bit out of the obvious view but worth the trip. 
Anyone familiar with the Metzy's Cantina food truck can enjoy those great eats in a more expansive (not expensive) environment. 
Great Mexican/American standards. Not so much true Mexican street fare but certainly some tasty standards sure to please most palates.
Their burritos were as fat and full as we were when we left.
Warning: Be careful where you park in the lot, only a portion which is labeled along the side is for Metzy's customers. Others are for the rail station commuters and I've been warned that the state can be strict!

We came in 10/29 after hearing some reviews from friends of ours that have frequented it before. Reports were food was good service was slow. My report, food was okay service was slow, drinks are expensive for not having a spirits license ($10 for a pint of over iced sangria made with wine and juice only?). When the waitress comes to the table and her first statement is, I'm sorry...ugh. This was a recurring comment each time she came to the table. What a great atmosphere though the building is cool and the train coming along the tracks is neat. I ordered a pork belly taco and fish burrito. The pork belly had sat for a bit as it was hard and luke warm but the fish burrito was hot since they had forgotten to make it and it came out later. Our lunch ended up being a 2 hour affair and $70.
