Very impressed with this office and Dr. Tall. With 10 years of experience as a dental assistant, I have very high standards regarding dental care. The entire staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The hygienist and assistant were both gentle and thorough, the office staff was friendly and Dr. Tall had a great bedside manner. He was honest in his evaluation and didn't try to sell me any unnecessary procedures. Very pleased.

Michael tall and their staff are always very pleasant and friendly. Dr tall is a dentist that actually fixes what needs fixed, not every little crevice that he can call a cavity just to make money. I had 11 cavities at a previous dentist so I went searching for a second opinion and found Dr Michael Tall. He denied most of what other dentists were claiming as cavities and fixed the real cavities(3). sometimes he even personally calls me later in the evening to see if I have any problems and to check how my alignment feels when I get a filling.  He is relatively inexpensive, friendly, honest and by far the best dentist I have ever been to. 
My parents and many of my siblings have since switched to his office. My dad had a tooth that appeared on x-ray as needing a crown because of underlying issues but once Dr. Michael tall was working on it, he decided his tooth was still healthy enough for just a filling and only charged him for a filling. In my opinion, he is not in it for the money, he genuinely loves what he does and is there to help his patients. He is very experienced and in my opinion, the best dentist in Idaho falls.

Super dental care!  Front office is efficient and kind, hygienist is sweet and caring and Dr Mike is very caring and genuinely concerned for the well-being of my family and our dental needs.

Nice things first: 
1. Very friendly people with beautiful smiles themselves. 
2. Doctors and the dental hygienists at this place know what they are doing. They are above average.
3. They are easy with schedules.

Things I didn't like: 

1. You are not told about the out-of-pocket expenses in a very clear manner. They get you to do certain things, it looks free and nice, but when you are at the counter before you leave - you have to pay this much dollars! Like the flouride pasty mouthwash thing: I was asked if I need it or not. I thought it was complimentary from the manner it was conveyed to me. But no, it wasn't. The most expensive mouthwash I ever had, was about 30$. 
2. My insurance covers cleaning, which is free. I went for that, but they did some special cleaning without my explicit knowledge, and now I have to pay 50$ for that. I am not always aware what am I being subjected to. They may have said it to me in some jargon I failed to comprehend, but this is quite a bait-and-switch in my opinion.  People need to be more transparent, even if it means lesser revenue. 
3. I am constantly subjected to sales pitches from everyone in their office, even the dentist himself. He has the latest technology, so I have to get 'x' done on my teeth., etc, etc. He may be having the best health interest of mine in the long run, but to my wallet, it seems like he is desperately trying to get his customers try new things. Then they have all sorts of people selling all sorts of stuff that I don't need, but can't really say no to their beautiful smiles. 

Pro Tip: If you are on a budget, or want to save yourself shocks of sudden dental bills, ask them to say very clearly what you will have to pay before every single thing. Every single time. Every moment. You never know if a bill will show up at your mailbox, because they might wipe your face with a special tissue that you 'opted' for when they asked, 
"do you want your face wiped with aromatic tissue or regular tissue". God forbid if you choose the aromatic tissue... 50$! 

I don't think anyone in their right minds would write hurt feelings about an person who is legally entitled to hold a drill inside your mouth, but everyone must know how to avert sudden expenses. Always a pleasant experience. They do a great job of explaining everything they do during an office visit. I never leave feeling sore or with questions.
