The Michigan Dental Association Foundation is improving dental health in communities throughout Michigan.
Each year the MDA Foundation awards grants to organizations providing access to dental care for disadvantaged individuals. These funds create an immediate positive impact to communities across Michigan. Recent access grant recipients include the Muskegon Volunteer for Dental Care, the Jewish Vocational Service, and the Greater Flint Health Coalition.
Other programs supported by the MDA Foundation include Give Kids a Smile programs at the University of Detroit Mercy and University of Michigan; a variety of other community dental clinics providing free or low cost dental services; and The Old Newsboys Goodfellow Fund of Detroit, which includes dental health kits in its holiday packages thanks to MDA Foundation support.
