I called and received a quote for $280 to replace a muffler on a 1997 Honda.  More than I wanted to spend but the work needed to be done.  My husband picked up the car today (I’m out of town) and the cost was $613! That’s a huge difference! They said they called and got permission.  That is untrue! I am beyond ticked off.  Can you say FRAUD!!! I would give negative stars if I could.

Usually go to the Midas on Dixie Hwy and never have a problem. On that day they were busy so I decided to take it to the Midas on 42. The light for the tire pressure was on and I ask  before hand if they will check the air pressure. They said they will and said it was fine. So I asked why the light was still on they said it must be a sensor. The tires however was extremely low and I went ahead and just filled them up myself. They should of just been honest and said they didn't check the pressure and not made up some b.s about the sensor...

I typically almost never write negative reviews but i couldn't resist. DO NOT I repeat DO NOT take your vehicle to this location. I was told my car would be fixed in 2 days and it took them 9 days. They kept giving me "The run around", the wrong part was ordered, part was defective blah blah blah. Had to rent a car for a week which costed me $300, and all the manager offered me was $30 off. Which was only like 5% off. Absurd.

I use Midas when I can't do it myself. I am comfortable sending my wife and daughters there, they never seem to try to take advantage, they fix what needs fixing. No BS.

I went to Midas for an Oil change and to look at my muffler... the oil change was great and very reasonable.

As far as my muffler goes,  I was completely taken aback.  All I did was hit a curb and knocked it loose.   Looking at my estimate they want to charge me $363.98 to Remove and replace a Muffler....my Car is a 2014, even I know that I don't need a new muffler, I don't know a lot about cars, but I am not stupid..... They wanted to do some pipe assembly.  Said it would take about one to two hours.  told them I would be back when I had more time, but I knew I would not go back.

I went to another place yesterday, and they said  a sleeve just needed to be welded on, said this is a COMMON thing in these models of cars, took 30 minutes and only $50.00!!!  As opposed to $363.98.

I fee like they were trying to take advantage of me because I am female.  I my be female, but I am not stupid.  thank you  Ryan Mufflers for being honest and not taking advantage of me
